The Passenger is looking for an experienced line cook with strong English communication and practical technology skills. You will run a station confidently, support ordering and inventory, and keep the team informed about kitchen readiness. Our globally inspired menu offers varied cooking work and opportunities to support catering preparation.
Required: Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification.
What you will do:
- Prepare and execute menu items consistently during busy service; coordinate timing with the rest of the kitchen.
- Work independently on assigned stations, keep prep on track, and communicate shortages before service is affected.
- Maintain recipe, portion, presentation, sanitation, and allergen standards.
- Use digital inventory and ordering tools to count stock, prepare supplier orders for approval, and reduce shortages and waste.
- Read recipes and event instructions accurately, communicate with the team and suppliers, and post brief written updates on prep, shortages, and next steps.
- Support other cooks with clear communication and station handoffs; complete opening and closing work without repeated reminders.
What you bring:
- At least 10 years of professional cooking experience, including recent work on a full-service restaurant line.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a station through a rush and handle several orders accurately.
- Strong spoken and written English to understand recipes, tickets, allergen instructions, and event orders; discuss kitchen needs; and write clear work updates.
- Practical technology skills: independently use email, spreadsheets, online ordering portals, and digital checklists or task trackers. Ability to learn new kitchen systems quickly.
- Dependability and attention to food safety. Kitchen lead or ordering experience is preferred; English communication and technology skills are required.
- We provide orientation to our menu and systems. Applicants should already have the cooking skills needed to work independently on the line.
Compensation and benefits:
Base wages and kitchen fee plus any applicable tip share are separate. Tip income varies and is not guaranteed. Paid sick leave is provided in accordance with Colorado requirements.
How to apply:
Send your work history, stations you can run independently, digital tools you have used, and availability. Finalists will complete a paid practical assessment covering cooking, English communication, and basic digital ordering and inventory tasks.
